Terms of use
The rules of engagement for the game and this site. Plain English, no traps.

Who these terms are with
Warmasters is published by Studio Bastion, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By installing the game or using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't.
Your licence to the game
When you buy or download Warmasters you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play it on devices you own or control, for as long as you like. You don't own the game itself — you own a licence to play it.
You may not resell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the game or its assets, reverse-engineer it except where law expressly permits, or strip out its art, audio, text or data for use elsewhere.
Add-on packs
Add-ons are one-off, non-consumable in-app purchases. Once bought, a pack stays unlocked on the store account that bought it, and Restore Purchases re-syncs it to any device signed into that account. There are no subscriptions, no consumable currencies and nothing that expires.
On mobile, purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play, and their terms and refund policies govern the transaction. Refund requests go to the store you bought from, not to us — though if something is genuinely broken, tell us and we'll fix it. Where the desktop build is sold through a storefront, that storefront's terms apply in the same way.
Availability of content
We may add, change or retire content and features as the game develops. If something you paid for is removed, we'll tell you why in the updates. We won't take away a campaign or army you have already bought.
Acceptable use
Don't use the game or site to break the law, don't attempt to circumvent purchase gating or distribute modified builds, and don't attack the site or its host. Content you author with any in-app tools is yours; if you share it publicly, make sure you have the right to what's in it.
Intellectual property
The Warmasters name, logo, artwork, unit designs, written material and the world of Averlund are ours or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Screenshots, key art and the logo may be used freely in reviews, articles, videos and streams covering the game — that's coverage, and it's welcome. Using them to imply endorsement, or on merchandise, is not.
Warmasters is an original work. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any tabletop games publisher, and any resemblance to the general conventions of the wargaming genre is the genre, not a licence.
This website
The site is provided as-is for information about the game. The interactive rules demonstrations on it are simplified illustrations of the game's real mechanics, built to teach the idea — the game itself is the authority on how a rule resolves.
Warranties and liability
The game is provided "as is". We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will run on every device configuration in existence. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the game or site.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, or excludes liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — save that if you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the game changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed; material changes get a note in the updates.
